Today Apple has issued invitations to their event on October 4th 2011 at the company’s auditorium at its headquarters in Cupertino, California. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Pacific Time.

At this event it is expected that Apple will announce, or even release, their new iPhone 5, 4s or both.  At this event, Apple may also do minor updates to their iPod lineup, such as an A5 in the iPod Touch.  This event has been anticipated for a long time and now it is finally official.
