One third of all electronics are manufactured outside of the United States and many of these outsourced factories are not in well condition. The factories hire children, do not handle chemicals properly, have wastewater problems, do not monitor and control air emissions, and much more. Many of these companies also face employee protests, suicide threats, and neglect in handling waste, but nothing has been done.
