AT&T To Unlock Your iPhone

AT&T To Unlock Your iPhone

If you want to switch to another carrier on your iPhone but don’t want to jailbreak for an unlock there’s great news. Starting April 8th AT&T will begin to offer their customers the ability to unlock their phones. Requirements is for your account to be in good standing and you not being in a 2-year contract (with the iPhone you want to unlock) or pay an early termination fee. This is a great move by AT&T and may help prevent the amount of jailbreaking to unlock devices and the hassle it could be for some people....
HTC Vivid given a Cease and Desist letter from a Porn Company?!?!

HTC Vivid given a Cease and Desist letter from a Porn Company?!?!

I don’t know about any of you but this is pretty funny to me. To come up with names of phones can be pretty tough, I mean look at the Motorola Atrix, HTC Sensation, and LG Thrill. How is a mobile phone sensational or thrilling and just what is an Atrix? These are questions we can not answer, but is the HTC Vivid being disputed by a Porn Company? We can answer this and it is a big YES! As a company you never want to affect a company’s trademarked name, but thats how this issue arose. Vivid Entertainment is an adult porn company and they have recently sent a cease and desist letter to HTC about their newest phone the HTC Vivid for AT&T. According to TMZ (Yes the site that is gossip dedicated) the entertainment company sent a letter to HTC that they stop using the name “Vivid” as it could become confusing in the marketplace between the two completely different companies. I do not think it would be fun for anyone to be talking about their phone and someone takes it the other way and thinks they are using a porn site, especially if your talking to your boss….. just saying. Reportedly the phone company has been given until Monday to act on the matter before Vivid Entertainment takes this to court. The Verge has confirmed that HTC received the letter and has issued this statement for the time being. We are reviewing the complaint and don’t expect to have any further comment until it is resolved. The entertainment company has announced that they are working...

Motorola announces the Droid Razr!!

Motorola announces the Droid Razr!!

Motorola used to have the Motorola Razor in its lineup of phones. It use to be a small flip phone that was all the rage for a few years, at least. Unfortunately, Motorola killed off the Razor after a while. It wasn’t selling as well as it had been before it was killed off. Today however, Motorola is bringing the Razor back. Measuring at just 7.1 mm the Razr is a very thin device. Of course it has that little hump by the camera like all of Motorola’s other Android devices. The Razr comes preloaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has accessories that can be purchased including a lapdock (there are two of them, so two options to pick from) and other useful products to go with the Razr. The Motorola Razr brings a list full of enhancements, all of which are listed below: Motorola Droid RAZR Specs 4.3″ qHD Super AMOLED screen 1.2GHz dual-core processor (could be the OMAP that is in the Galaxy Nexus) 1GB of RAM 4G LTE 8MP rear-facing camera, with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization technology for crisp and clear videos HD forward-facing camera for video chat over 4G LTE, 3G or Wi-Fi 32 GB memory: 16 GB on board and 16 GB microSD™ card pre-installed (actual formatted capacity is less) Gorilla Glass screen Kevlar build materials Side lock switch 12.5 hours of talk time and 8.9 hours of video playback For a phone it looks very powerful. The device will be launching on Verizon sometime in Early November for $299.99 on a two–year deal with the carrier. Pre-orders will begin on October 27th...
Blackberry Woes Continue

Blackberry Woes Continue

NOTE: CURRENTLY I’M NOT SURE WHAT PROVIDERS ARE EXPERIENCING ISSUES WITH BLACKBERRY DEVICES OTHER THAN SPRINT. RIM, or Research in Motion, the company that produces the Blackberry OS and Blackberry device line-up, has been asked by mobile carrier Sprint to fix the ongoing issues with the Blackberry outage problem world-wide. Problems users are encountering include poor Internet access, struggling to send and receive emails and texts, and using the BlackBerry Messenger application. This hit to the Blackberry name may also be ever-lasting. In 2007 Blackberry’s we’re the most popular phone in America, but they have since been knocked off the throne by Android and “budget-Droids”, as well as the iPhone 3, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. In an age where we have more powerful smart phones than the Blackberry, users begin switching. Another factor that gives RIM the aches and woes is the fact that 1 million iPhone 4S models we’re sold on the first day. With the ever-declining Blackberry demand, what will RIM do? I know for a fact that many users have already made effort to switch to the iPhone. More on this story will come as the problems continue. I would also lack to apologize for the lack of posts, as I have been very busy with schoolwork and my own website. Thanks,...

Apple sells a stunning 1 Million iPhone 4S's under 24 hours!!

Apple announced their new flagship device, the iPhone 4S, last Tuesday, October 4th. The device went up for pre-sales just a mere 3 days ago on Friday, October 7th. Two days after the phone went up for pre-sale AT&T sold over 200,000 units in the first 12 hours alone and sold out of all capacity models. Sprint also sold out of the 16 GB model less than 10 hours later. AT&T claims this was their best selling Apple device to date. However, the fun does not stop there. Apple issued a press statement today that states the iPhone 4S has been purchased over 1 million times in under 24 hours! This surpasses the previous single-day phone sales record of 600,000, which was of course the iPhone 4. We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S. The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.
