The iPhone 5 is right around the corner and we all are anxiously awaiting the invitations for Apple’s September Music Event to be sent out. The event is supposed to be where Apple shows off their next iPhone hardware. As the date of this event is still unknown a big CEO helped to “clarify” some information.
CEO of Orange and France Telecom, Stéphane Richard, released some information on accident while on the radio. He said the following.
If I believe what we heard, the iPhone will be released Oct. 15.
After realizing what he said, Richard oddly seemed like he tried to backtrack and hide what he had just said. The following came immediately after he released the above statement.
To date, no date is known for its commercial launch even though its production seems to have started in several echoes in the press.
Stéphane is not the kind of person to typically believe in rumors. He is an owner of a multibillionaire company and would not just find out about this when it happens. He must have been told before hand before these beserk rumors.
According to previous sources and rumors, Foxconn is already pumping out 150,000 next generation iPhone 5’s a day. Another rumor that lines up quit nicely with this is iOS 5. A report on Monday, September 12, 2011, was released saying the final beta version would be released to developers on Friday, September 16, 2011, and that a Golden Master would be given to carriers on September 23. The proposed launch date of iOS 5 is October 10, 2011, which would be around the exact perfect time for an iPhone refresh.
With iCloud, iOS 5, iPad 3, and iPhone 5 potentially on the way and set to go Apple should be unveiling their new products soon. Until then stay tuned to us for all the latest information!
